New RAM 3500 Towing Capacity and Powertrains

The heavy-duty RAM truck comes with two powertrain options. Base models are equipped with a 6.4-liter V-8, which produces an output of 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. If you're looking for something with a bit more torque, the highly praised 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six is available. It has an output of 430 horsepower and generates 1,075 lb-ft of torque, which is the best in class. The base engine comes with standard 4WD, while the diesel engine is available with either 4WD or RWD. As expected, the turbo-diesel has the best towing capacity, with a max rating of 36,620 lbs. 2026 RAM 3500 Trim Levels and Configurations

The 2026 3500 comes in several configuration options. There's a 6'4" bed and an extended 8' bed to choose from, alongside three cab options: Single, Crew, and Mega. The Mega cab has the largest seats in the full-size class. We haven't seen confirmed pricing for 2026 models from RAM yet, but we expect to see the following five trim levels on our lot soon:

• 2026 RAM 3500 Longhorn

We'll start with the RAM 3500 Tradesman, the work truck of the family. While it might be a little Spartan compared to some of the more luxurious options in the lineup, it delivers all the power you expect from a one-ton truck at a lower price. If you're looking for a happy medium, the Big Horn provides more of the comfort features and amenities like heated seats, without some of the more premium features you'll find on models like the Limited and Longhorn. Of course, these models fall into the luxury category, offering a wide range of premium materials and technology throughout the cabin. 

RAM 3500 Technology and Interior

While base models focus on delivering power at a fair price, models like the Longhorn see cabins that are fitted with features like striped wood and gold trim across the dashboard. Premium materials extend beyond the dashboard, though, with leather seats and plenty of other detailing. You'll find plenty of technology onboard the 3500, no matter which model you opt for. The infotainment screen size varies from 8.4 to 14.5 inches, depending on your trim level, but all models will connect you to Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and an optional Wi-Fi hotspot. If you'd like screens across the entire dashboard, there's an optional 10.3-inch passenger display screen. Whether you're charging your phone or your tools, the RAM truck has options for you, with outlets and USB ports littered throughout the truck. Of course, there are plenty of driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control and automated emergency braking.
