As you'd expect from a truck of this caliber, the RAM 2500 boasts an excellent towing rating, courtesy of a widely praised turbo-diesel engine. The RAM truck doesn't just impress with its power, though; it also features a range of available luxury features and a polished cabin that make it an easy choice for daily driving. All RAM trucks prioritize delivering comfort alongside strength, making our lineup one of the most popular in the nation. We stand behind our word too, offering the best full-size truck powertrain warranty in the industry: 10 years or 100,000 miles of protection. 2026 RAM 2500 Towing Capacity and Powertrain

The 2026 2500 has two powertrains to choose from. Base models are equipped with a 6.4-liter V-8 engine, producing 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque. It's the only Power Wagon model of the 2500 family, meaning it only comes with four-wheel drive. If you're looking for something a little more torque-rich, try the top-rated 6.7-liter Cummins turbo-diesel inline-six instead. It offers the option of RWD or 4WD and generates 430 horsepower and 1,075 lb-ft of torque, the best in class. The diesel engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, and, of course, it boasts the highest towing rating, with a towing capacity of up to 20,000 pounds. The V-8 has a better payload rating, though, with a max capacity of 4,420 lbs. If you'd like to learn more about the new RAM 2500, take it for a test drive with our RAM dealership in Livingston.

The other new edition is the Black Express, and as the name suggests, it adds blacked-out decals while delivering a street-oriented look, making it one of the best-looking trucks in our inventory. Of course, models like the Tradesman prioritize getting the job done with no frills, while the Longhorn is just as luxurious as any premium sedan you'll find on the market.
